About the Real PAZ-672M

The PAZ-672M was the upgraded 1982 evolution of Pavlovo Bus Factory's legendary "Pazik", built in the town of Pavlovo on the Oka and produced until late 1989. With nearly 98,500 units of the M revision alone, it became the most widespread bus in the Soviet Union — the default rural and suburban shuttle across the entire USSR. Mechanically it borrowed heavily from the GAZ-53 truck, riding on a ladder frame with a front-mounted ZMZ gasoline V8 of around 4.25 litres producing roughly 115–120 hp. Its short body, simple construction and go-anywhere reputation made it the workhorse of small-town and collective-farm transport for decades.
