The Neoplan N116 Cityliner Facelift is the modernized late-1990s evolution of Neoplan's flagship single-deck Reisebus, originally introduced in 1979 and refreshed with the smoother aerodynamic front end and updated lighting clusters that defined late-decade European tourist coaches. This Proton Bus Simulator mod brings the Facelift Cityliner into PBSU as a premium high-deck Reisebus tuned for long-distance highway operation, rodoviário service and tourist-charter scenarios where city buses cannot compete.

About the Real Neoplan N116 Cityliner

Neoplan, founded in 1935 in Stuttgart by Gottlob Auwärter, became one of Germany's premier coach manufacturers before its 2001 acquisition by MAN Truck & Bus. The N116 Cityliner debuted in 1979 as Neoplan's single-deck flagship Reisebus, sitting below the iconic Skyliner double-decker in the touring catalog. The Facelift generation arrived in the late 1990s with aerodynamic styling updates, modern headlight clusters and an interior refresh that kept the Cityliner competitive against the contemporaneous Mercedes-Benz Tourismo and Setra Series 400. Production continued through the early 2000s before the next-generation Cityliner platform replaced it.
