About the Real Neoplan N4016 NF

The Neoplan N4016 NF is the low-floor (Niederflur) version of Neoplan's standard city bus, produced from 1988 to 1999 across three plants — Pilsting in Bavaria, Bolechowo in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, and the MAZ-branded Minsk facility in Belarus. The larger sibling of the N4009 midibus, it ran with MAN or DAF diesel engines paired to Voith or ZF Friedrichshafen transmissions, seating 31 to 39 passengers. The N4016 NF became the first low-entry single-decker bus ever sold in the United Kingdom — twelve units served Merseybus on Liverpool's SMART network — and saw its largest fleets at OAS Athens (93 units) and MPK Poznań (32 units) before the Neoplan Centroliner succeeded it.
