About the Real Irizar i8

The Irizar i8 is the flagship coach of Irizar S. Coop., the worker-owned cooperative coachbuilder based in Ormaiztegi, in the Basque Country of Spain. It was unveiled at Busworld Kortrijk in October 2015 as the successor to the long-running Irizar PB, and went on to take the European Coach of the Year 2018 title for its aerodynamic profile and premium passenger compartment. The i8 is offered in lengths from roughly 12 to 15 metres on heavy-duty chassis from Volvo, Scania, MAN and DAF. Irizar also operates plants outside Spain — in Botucatu in Brazil, Querétaro in Mexico, Skhirat in Morocco and Centurion in South Africa — though the Brazilian line is associated with the i6 family rather than the i8, so the chassis and livery combination in this mod reflects a modder's pairing rather than a factory configuration.
