About the Real Busscar Urbanuss Pluss

The Busscar Urbanuss Pluss is a high-capacity urban bus body launched in 1999 by Busscar Ônibus of Joinville, Santa Catarina — one of Brazil's major coachbuilders until it entered insolvency in 2012. Built with a lightweight galvanised-steel, aluminium and fibreglass structure, the Urbanuss Pluss was offered in rigid, articulated and bi-articulated forms; on heavy Volvo chassis such as the B12M, the bi-articulated version reached about 25 meters for BRT trunk-line service. It became a defining sight on Curitiba's RIT and São Paulo's high-capacity corridors through the 2000s.
