About the Real Marcopolo Paradiso New G7 1800 DD
The Marcopolo Paradiso New G7 1800 DD is Brazil's flagship double-decker highway coach, built by Marcopolo SA in Caxias do Sul. The Paradiso 1800 DD line launched in 1995; the original G7 generation modernized the bodywork before the current New G7 facelift debuted in 2018 with refreshed styling and updated safety features. At 15 metres long, 2.6 metres wide and 4.2 metres tall, the coach is offered on tag-axle 8x2 chassis from Scania K-420, MAN, Volvo B450R and Mercedes-Benz O500-RSDD, with rear-mounted six-cylinder diesel engines in the 450 to 493 hp range. The Marcopolo Paradiso G8 succeeded the G7 in July 2021, though the New G7 1800 DD remains in Marcopolo's catalogue alongside the next-generation flagship.
