About the Real Caio Foz Super Escolar OF-1418

The Mercedes-Benz OF-1418 is a Brazilian rear-engine bus chassis that can carry bodies up to around 11 metres, powered by the fully electronic OM-904 LA turbo-diesel rated near 177 cv. Built largely through the 2000s, it was a popular base for urban and school transport, often bodied by Caio Induscar. Dressed in Caio's Foz body and set up as a Super Escolar (school bus), the OF-1418 became a familiar sight ferrying students on Brazilian municipal and rural routes, valued for its durability and easy maintenance.
