About the Real Solaris Urbino 12 Mk2

Solaris Bus & Coach was founded in 1996 in Bolechowo near Poznań, Poland, and launched the Urbino city bus family in 1999. The Urbino 12 is the 12-meter rigid variant and the family's volume seller, with the Mk2 (Phase 2) generation covering the mid-2000s service years before the Mk3 introduced the now-iconic asymmetric windshield in 2005. The Mk2 is identifiable by its different front headlight cluster compared to later generations and was offered with DAF and MAN inline-six diesel powertrain options across European fleets in Germany, Poland, the Netherlands and Nordic countries.
