About the Real Setra S 215 UL

Setra is one of Germany's oldest coach manufacturers, founded in 1951 by Karl Kaessbohrer and headquartered in Neu-Ulm. The Series 200 launched in 1976 as Setra's second-generation coach platform, replacing the Series 100 and defining a high-floor intercity coach standard that dominated European Überland operations through the 1980s and into the early 1990s. The S 215 UL is the 12-meter 2-axle Überland variant within the Series 200 catalog, sitting alongside longer 3-axle siblings and the urban LE variants. The Series 200 ran from 1976 until 1995, when the Series 300 — which produced the S 313/315/317/319 UL siblings already cataloged on Proton Bus Mods — replaced it across Europe.
