About the Real LiAZ 5292.65

The Likinsky Bus Plant (LiAZ, Russian: ЛиАЗ) was founded in 1937 in Likino-Dulyovo near Moscow and remains one of Russia's largest urban bus manufacturers, currently owned by GAZ Group. The 5292 platform is the company's modern low-floor urban bus, launched in the late 2000s as the primary replacement for older LiAZ generations across Russian transit systems. The 2017 Restyle introduced a redesigned front mask, updated interior ergonomics and powertrain options including the YaMZ-536 Euro 5 inline-six diesel, which became the dominant configuration in Moscow's Mosgortrans fleet and across other major Russian municipal operators through the late 2010s.
