About the Real Caio Carolina IV LO-809

The Caio Carolina IV was a Brazilian bus body built by Caio in São Paulo and mounted on light Mercedes-Benz chassis such as the LO-809, with production spanning roughly the 1980s into the early 1990s. Compact and versatile, it was a common sight on urban and intercity routes across Brazil and was also widely used in neighbouring South American countries. The LO-809 belonged to Mercedes-Benz's light front-engine chassis family, pairing a modest diesel with a simple, durable driveline well suited to short- and medium-distance work.
