About the Real Volvo 7300 Biarticulado

The biarticulated Volvo 7300 is a high-capacity BRT bus built by Volvo Buses México at its Tultitlán plant for Mexico City's Metrobús. In 2017, 22 of these 28-meter units entered service on Line 1, the Insurgentes corridor, replacing the articulated buses that had launched the route a decade earlier. Each carries up to 240 passengers and uses a Euro V 340-hp engine mounted horizontally under the floor for a flat, low interior and better weight distribution. Volvo later concluded production of the biarticulated 7300 to make way for electric articulated and biarticulated buses, having led Latin America's BRT segment for nearly two decades.
