The Mercedes-Benz Citaro O530G is the articulated long variant of the first-generation Citaro family, introduced shortly after the rigid O530 at Mercedes-Benz's Mannheim plant in 1997. The "G" designation marks the 18-meter articulated configuration, joining the 12-meter standard, the 15-meter Überlandvariant and the bi-articulated CapaCity in the broader Citaro lineup.
