MAN Lion's City 18 E — Articulated Electric Bus for Proton Bus Simulator

This is MAN's 18-metre articulated electric bus, the eMobility flagship of the Lion's City range, brought into Proton Bus Simulator with five doors down the right side and a complete passenger cabin behind the glass. It is a single-joint articulated bus — one bellows section linking the front body to the trailer — and it carries no combustion engine at all, which changes both the sound and the way the vehicle gathers speed away from a stop.

About the Real MAN Lion's City 18 E

MAN opened sales of the articulated Lion's City 18 E in April 2020 and moved it into series production in the first half of 2021, following the 12-metre solo version that reached its first customers late in 2020. Demonstrator vehicles ran in Barcelona and Cologne before series deliveries began. The 18 E sits at the top of MAN's electric city bus range as the 18-metre articulated member, built around battery packs rather than a rear engine tower — which is why the roofline and the rear of the vehicle look so different from the diesel Lion's City articulated buses that share its silhouette.
