About the Real Iveco TurboDaily

Iveco, founded in 1975 as a merger of multiple Italian, French and German truck builders under the Fiat group, launched the Daily light commercial vehicle line in 1978. The TurboDaily 49-10 designation marks a turbocharged variant within the 49 GVW class (4.9 tonnes gross) producing approximately 100 hp from the 2.5-liter direct-injection diesel that powered the bulk of late-1990s Daily production. The Daily/TurboDaily found heavy use across European utility transport, school and shuttle services, and informal jitney/lotação routes worldwide where its modest dimensions and rugged truck-derived chassis suited operators who couldn't justify a full-size minibus.
