About Busscar Bus Mods
Busscar originated on 17 September 1946 in Joinville, Santa Catarina, Brazil, founded by Swedish-descent brothers Augusto Bruno and Eugênio Nielson as a carpentry shop — later renamed from Carrocerias Nielson to Busscar Ônibus in 1990. The Urbanuss model launched in 1987, and the Urbanuss Pluss bi-articulated BRT serves the Volvo B12M chassis for 25m rapid transit operations. Bankruptcy was declared on 27 September 2012.
