ZiU-682G-016 (017) — The Last of the Line

The -016 is where the ZiU-682 story ends. It was the final serial modification of a trolleybus family that had been rolling out of Engels since 1972, and it kept going long after the Soviet Union that created it. This pack ships six factory-detail variants of the type, each a different point on the production line, with three passenger doors and a fully modelled period interior.

Compatibility and Technical Details

About the Real ZiU-682G-016

The ZiU-682G-016 was the last serial modification of the ZiU-9 family, built by the Uritsky plant in Engels, Saratov Region — the works that later traded as Trolza. It entered production in 1998, following the base G series, and was reworked twice more: the -016.02 from October 2002 and the -016.04 from August 2009. Serial output tapered through the late 2000s, and the very last example left the factory in May 2015, bound for Nalchik. With it ended more than four decades of continuous ZiU-682 production.
