The Volgabus 4298.G4 is a semi-low-floor mid-class urban bus built by Volgabus LLC in Volzhsky, Volgograd Region, Russia. Series production began in May 2022, and more than 1,300 units have since entered service across Russian cities, with Saint Petersburg's Piteravto fleet operating the largest deployment. The 4298.G4 is offered in compressed natural gas (CNG), liquefied natural gas (LNG), and diesel configurations, sharing a Chinese-sourced powertrain with a Weichai inline engine and a Fastgear hydromechanical automatic transmission.
