About the Real Irisbus Agora S

The Irisbus Agora was the first urban bus family released under the Irisbus brand, formed in 1999 from the merger of Iveco Bus and Renault VI's bus division. The Agora itself debuted slightly earlier in 1996 as the Renault Agora, before being rebranded when Irisbus was created. The "S" suffix designates the Standard 12-meter rigid configuration, while the longer Agora L was the articulated companion. Manufactured at the Iveco plant in Annonay, France, the Agora S was widely adopted by RATP in Paris and provincial French city networks, frequently in both Diesel and CNG (Gaz Naturel Véhicule) configurations, until it was succeeded by the Irisbus Citelis in 2006.
