About the Real Marcopolo Viale on Volvo B10M

The Marcopolo Viale debuted in 1998 from Brazilian bodybuilder Marcopolo S.A. in Caxias do Sul, becoming one of the company's best-selling urban city bus bodies during a 1998–2013 production run that overlapped with the later Gran Viale variant. The Volvo B10M chassis, built from 1978 to 2003 with Brazilian assembly at Volvo's Curitiba plant from 1986 to 2003, pairs a 9.6-litre horizontally mounted I-6 diesel engine mounted under the floor behind the front axle, making it a versatile platform used for both city and coach work. The Viale on B10M combination served metropolitan fleets across Brazil in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
