The Marcopolo Paradiso G6 1200 launched in 2000 from Brazilian bodybuilder Marcopolo S.A. in Caxias do Sul, becoming the flagship intercity coach body throughout the 2000s before the G7 succeeded it in 2009. The Scania K-124IB is a 6x2 intercity chassis featuring Scania's 12-litre DC12 inline-six diesel engine with horizontally mid-mounted layout — a long-running platform in Scania's chassis program that powered Brazilian highway operators throughout the late 1990s and 2000s. The G6 1200 on K-124IB combination was a common sight on Brazilian highway routes during that period.
