About the Real Thamco Padron Falcao

The Padron Falcao was the first body produced by Thamco Indústria e Comércio de Ônibus, founded in São Paulo in May 1985 by Antônio Thamer Butros to manage the bankrupt assets of Condor. Launched in September 1985 on Mercedes-Benz front-engined chassis including the OF-1113, the Falcao adopted Brazil's Padron 260 standard — an aluminum-framed urban body inherited directly from the Condor lineage. The model ran through 1986 before being succeeded by the Padron Águia, a wider, longer evolution of the same shell, while Thamco grew rapidly through aggressive pricing during Brazil's mid-1980s urban-fleet expansion.
