About the Real MAN Lion's Classic SÜ 313

The MAN Lion's Classic SÜ 313 is the Stadt-Überland (city/intercity) configuration of MAN's step-entrance bus family, produced from 1999 to 2009. The SÜ designation marks it as a dual-use vehicle for both urban services and suburban routes; the SÜ 283 and SÜ 313 covered the role in slightly different bodies during that decade. MAN built the platform in Munich, Germany, with assembly support from its MANAŞ subsidiary in Ankara, Turkey. From 2004 the model was rebranded "Lion's Classic Ü" when MAN consolidated its bus lineup under the Lion's family naming. Surviving examples still see daily service across Germany, Italy, and Eastern Europe.
